The Iolani Palace is a gem in busy downtown Honolulu. The interiors have been carefully restored, emphasizing the intricate details in the wood finishes. They make you wear foot covers before you enter the palace for a tour, which could tempt one into “skating” along the halls. On Fridays, they have band concerts around lunch time. Unless of course it’s raining.
Worth going, especially if you’re
lost downtown. Just make sure you have quarters for parking. You never know.
